1. TATA Group 

There will hardly be a person living in India who does not know about the 'Tata' company. Tata is one of the oldest companies in India. This private company was founded 152 years ago by 'Jamshed Ji Tata' in the year 1868. This company has tried its hand at almost every major business inside India. These companies have been success over in various businesses such as chemical, consumer products, energy, engineering, IT systems, consultancy, and steel etc. This company has also won the hearts of foreign people along with the Indian people. This company has its presence in more than 80 different countries of the world. Tata Group has been given the title of India's largest corporate group. The huge size of this company can be gauged from the fact that in the year 2019, the number of employees working in this company was 7,22,281.  

2. Royal Enfield
India's 'Royal Enfield' is one of the world's oldest bike making companies. This very old company was founded in the year 1901. 'Royal Enfield' Bullet model is the longest running bike model ever. After the country became independent in 1947, the new government of India was in search of a new motorcycle for the "Indian Army". The government was looking for a powerful bike for the army that could be used to keep an eye on the border. In 1952, 'Royal Enfield Bullets' were selected by the Indian Government for this purpose. After 2 years, the Indian government ordered to make 800 Royal Enfield Bullets, till that time this company used to be British. In 1955, the Indian company 'Madras Motors' bought it and in 1962 this bike became completely 'Made in India'. In 1990, the Royal Enfield company merged with an Indian company called 'Rachel' group. Today Royal Enfield sells its bikes not only in India but all over the world.  

3. Peter England
Peter England is a wear-based fashion brand. Many people have misunderstanding about this brand, people consider it as the brand of England country because of its name. By the way, it is not completely wrong to believe that this brand was established in England in the year 1889 under the name of 'Old England' brand. The job of this company was to become Jung's clothes for the British military. In the year 1957, this company changed its name to Peter England. In 1997, 'Aditya Birla' group's 'Madura Garments' bought the brand. Since then, all the brands of this brand are made in India, today, this brand has registered its presence in more than 300 cities all over the world. Peter England ranks among the largest brands of men's clothing in the world.  

4. Jaguar 
Most people feel that the brand that makes this premium car is foreign. But tell you that India's 'Tata Motors' bought this brand in the year 2008 earlier, this brand was under the 'Ford Motor' Company. This company was first established in the year 1922 under the name of 'Swallow Sidecar' Company. This company started by selling Motorcycle Sidecar. This company got the name 'Jaguar' in the year 1933. Today, this company is known in the world for its expensive luxury vehicles as well as premium super cars. Jaguar ranks among the world's most premium and luxury car companies. Cars of this company are sold in almost every part of the world. During an auction in 2016, Jaguar D-Type Nodal of 1955 was bought for 158 crores.  

5. MRF 
MRF Company is India's largest tire making company, not only India, this company is known all over the world for making its great tires. 74 years ago this company was established as 'Madras Rubber Factory' in Chennai city. From 1946 to 1952, this company continued to make balloon toys. In 1952, this company started manufacturing trait rubber. In the year 1967, MRF became the first Indian company to export tires to America. There are 10 manufacturing plants in 6 different states of MRF in India. Very few people know that along with making MRF tires, MRF also works for making belts, sport equipments, toys and pants. MRF has been awarded many different awards in the world in terms of tire making. In 1992, the founder of this company K.M Mamen was awarded the Padma Shri, India's highest civilian award.

6. Lakme
Lakme is India's largest and oldest cosmetics brand. This company was founded in the year 1952 and since then it has been working on making cosmetics. Lakme is recognized and liked not only in India but also in other countries. According to a data, Lakme sells its cosmetics in more than 70 countries. Owned by the 'Hindustan Unilever Group', this company is called the best cosmetics brand in India. The brand was named after the famous French proprietor Lakme. Who was known all over the world for her beauty and unconventional image. According to the 2014 Brand Trust Report, Lakme was voted India's most trusted brand at number 36. Lakme sells over 300 different types of products all over the world. This makes it one of the most famous brands in India.  

7. Godrej 
Godrej is also one of the oldest companies in India, this company was founded 123 years ago in the year 1897. Over time, Godrej grew bigger and today has become a group of huge companies known as Godrej Group. The headquarters of this company is located in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Like the Tata group, Godrej also sells various products. Like the Tata Group these companies have been success over in various businesses such as aerospace, agriculture, consumer products, chemicals, constructions, electronics, furniture's or real estate, etc. Godrej is not limited to India only, this company sells its products in almost every country of the world. There is a worldwide name of Godrej. Products of this company are identified by its name in all countries outside India.  

8. Hero Motocorp
'Hero Motocorp' is India's largest 2 wheeler manufacturer, this company was known as 'Hero Honda' for a long time. This company was established in the year 1984 as Hero, initially this company used to sell Hero Cycles in collaboration with Honda Company of Japan. A few years later the company started selling motorcycles. Hero Honda motorcycle became famous all over the world due to its cheap price and tremendous mileage. By the year 2001, this company had become the largest 2 wheeler manufacturer in India. In 2010, for some personal reason, India's Hero and Japan's Honda decided to separate. After which it came to be known as 'Hero Motocorp'. Today, Hero MotoCorp is said to be the largest company making 2 wheelers not only in India but the whole world. This company has a market share of 46% in the 2 wheeler category within India.  

9. Mahindra & Mahindra
Mahindra & Mahindra is a multi national vehicle manufacturing company in India. It is one of the largest automobile manufacturing companies in India by production. This company was founded in the year 1945 by 2 brothers 'Jagdish Chandra Mahindra' and 'Kailash Chandra Mahindra' together with 'Malik Ghulam Muhammad'. Initially this company was named 'Mahindra and Muhammad'. But 'Malik Ghulam Muhammad' settled in Pakistan and settled in 1947 to become Pakistan. This company was renamed 'Mahindra & Mahindra' after 'Malik Ghulam Muhammad' quit the company. This company, which started with steel trade, started making vehicles in a few years. In a short time, Mahindra was considered as the jeep maker of India. Today Mahindra sells its vehicles all over the world, along with India, it is called the world's largest tractor manufacturer.  

10. Wipro 
 
'Wipro Limited' is one of the largest multinational companies in India. This company was established in the year 1945 by 'Mohammad Hashim Prem Ji', named 'Western India Palm Refined Oils'. Later the name of this company was changed to Wipro. Initially this company used to make refined oils. After the death of 'Mohammad Prem Ji' in 1966, his son 'Azim Prem Ji took charge of this company. At the age of 31, 'Azeem Prem Ji' became the chairman of Wipro Company. Azeem Prem ji was very promising, during his tenure, he took this company to a new height. Today Wipro has become a group of very large companies, these companies known for different business fields like personal care, health care, lighting, furniture, IT service, and consulting, etc.
